Advent Exchange

What a Lucky Girl I am..

Last weekend I got a card from the postman. You know, the ones they leave when there's no-one home and the thing they're trying to deliver is too big to fit in the box. It's always exciting getting one of those cards because you know it's not a bill.. So I collected it from the post office and guess what it was...

My advent exchange!

I was lucky enough to join in with Sara from Miss V's Busy Bees and Sarah from Noted from a Newly Wed's Advent Exchange this year. My exchange partner is Sara and boy did I fret over my advent, I can tell you. I wanted it to be a good one, full of the things that Sara likes best. I had a few ideas in mind and kept chopping and changing - I couldn't settle on one. So I made two and took the final decision at the very last minute. It's been in the mail for almost a week now - it really is snail mail from the UK to the USA, even using air mail! Anyway, I really hope Sara likes what I've done.

Which brings me back round to my parcel. I finally got round to opening it and.. wow! I'm not going to give the game away, because we'll all be linking up on Sara's blog page on December 17th to share our calendars, but I'm so excited with mine from Sara. What a fantastic idea, girls! Anyone for a repeat next year..?

Silly About Snowmen

I quite like snowmen - well, pictures of them at least, because I can't stand the white stuff myself (far too cold for me..). I've found the cutest snowmen graphics from Resale Clipart and I've been looking for an excuse to use them. I've had a lot of fun making my latest creation, and I hope you'll enjoy it too. My Jolly Snowman Long A Sort is a great way of teaching and reinforcing words in the -ay, a-e, -ai and -ei families. It included 25 pages of words cards and sorting mats and a record sheet. It's available in my shops now - click the pictures to take you there.
