Well, day 3 without work, and I'm beginning to despair of ever setting foot in a classroom again. Well, that may actually be a bit extreme, but it does feel very strange. I'm looking forward to a few days next week, and am beginning to turn my mind to my "grab bag". I'm teaching Year 5 (Grade 4) and Year 4 (Grade 3), so quite a range of different skills. Today I'm beginning work on a new Unit of Work. It's going to be quite comprehensive and packed full of ideas that I will be able to pick and choose from. I'll post it to the blog when it's finished.
Have a good day!

Hi Sue!! Just stopping by to say hello, I'm a new follower! I relaly look forward to reading your blog, especially with you teaching from Europe! I really admire your decision to leave your contracted teaching job to be closer to home! That must have been tough, but I am sure everything will work out in the end! Good luck with all you do!

Hi Amanda. Thanks for your very kind comments. Yes, it was a tough decision to leave my last post, but after 4 years of travelling and very late nights (you know what we teachers are like for not being able to put work away...)it was beginning to take its toll. Teaching jobs are very dififcult to come by in Wales, but I'm sure things will work out in the end...
ReplyDeleteI have always been interested in how you do things in the US, so for me it's great being able to touch base person to person. Let me know if there's anything I can help you with too.
All the best
Sue
