A Token of my Appreciation

Firstly, a quick round-up of my week - it's been a roller coaster:

  • Monday - French all day
  • Tuesday - a nursery class (pre-school) in the morning followed by Year 5 (G4) in the afternoon - what a difference! In the evening, the cooker blew up!
  • Wednesday - horrible day. Turned up at school to find that the booking was only for the morning and the agency had failed to tell me.. I had turned down a booking the night before for a full day.. Grrrr. Cooker still not fixed, so "ping" food for dinner (a la microwave oven..)
  • Thursday - nurture class (pre-K-1). An experience... Welsh class in the evening. Cooker still not fixed, so Subway tonight.
  • Friday - the weekend. Yay! It's a Bank Holiday in the UK to celebrate May Day. Traditionally it's held on the first Monday in May which may or may not be May 1st... How confusing is that...! But a long weekend for me and I won't turn my nose up at that.

A Freebie

Yesterday I promised you a little something to show me appreciation of all the wonderful teachers out there. I am a great fan of thank you letters - not only does it help children with their writing, but it instils in them good manners and helps them to focus on the sentiment behind the gift. As teachers, we should set a good example by writing our own thank you letters - I'm sure we all do. I know this is a busy time of year, what with testing and end of year coming up, so to help you along I've pulled together a little time saver for you. It's a series of thank you cards that you can send to your kiddos, along with an aide memoire to jot down who gave you what and whether you have sent a thank you. It is free in my TN and TPT stores.

Teacher Appreciation Week

Teachers Notebook will be running a promotion called the "Teacher Appreciation Week Sweeptakes". The sweepstakes will run from May 5th to May 11th where they will be giving away $100 every single day to one lucky winner. The winners can use the $100 credit to purchase items from TN shops. To help you along, I am holding a Teacher Appreciation Sweepstakes sale. Pop along to my store and taking advantage of the low prices to stock up on lots of goodies.

I'm also joining in with TPT's Teacher Appreciation Week event by holding a sale on all of my products. You can get up to a whopping 20% off, with an extra 10% on checkout with the promo code TAD12

Have a great evening y'all
