..a refreshing new take on the Nativity Story
Last week I came across this little gem of a book. It tells the Christmas Story from a new perspective in a hilariously funny way. The story is told from the point of view of the innkeeper, who is desperate for a good night's sleep after a hard day's work at his hotel which is packed to bursting. The trouble is, his sleep is disturbed by a series of visitors who have all come to celebrate Jesus' birthday. The innkeeper's grumpiness soon turns to something else when he sets eyes on the new baby...If you have never read this book I would highly recommend it. It is written in simple language that children can understand and enjoy, and they absolutely love the pictures - especially seeing the innkeeper getting grumpier and grumpier...
Wouldn't it be great if this little story could be performed by your children at their Christmas pageant..?
